Do you Travel?
I do travel for weddings, I can technically travel anywhere, there is a fee to be calculated for travel time and expenses, depending on the location and distance.
How long have you been doing this?
I have been doing photography for 8 years. This will be my 3rd year photographing weddings, I wanted to master everything I could before starting wedding photography, I finally felt ready with all my knowledge and practice after 6 years doing family and small event photography. I was hesitant at fist not knowing if it was a genre I wanted to do, after doing my first wedding I quickly realized its one of my favorite things to photograph. It covers all aspects of family photography that I had already mastered.
How many photos do we get?
It really depends on on how many hours are booked and at your request and wants. Some couples, wish to keep it small others want a lot of photos, I can tell you I average at maybe 50 images an hour, I have shot 10 hour weddings where I gave my clients their galleries with as little as 700 images and as many as 3000 images.
How do we get our photos?
At the end of your session, I go home , upload all the images, I go through all of them get rid of any that are not acceptable like eyes closed or blurry and duplicates, ones that are the same as I try to take a few very quickly to make sure i get everyone looking and not blinking. Once that is all done I edit them all, and then I upload them to a online gallery from a website called Pixiset.com from there I send you a private link for you to view them, you can make favorites list and share them with anyone you wish. You can download the whole album or specific images as much as you like. I do keep the images on that gallery for as long as I can but it is best to download them as soon as possible and save them somewhere safe. I do offer prints, but as many live farther away it can make that a bit more difficult, so you do have printing rights as well, I will give you recommendations on where to and where not to prints though for best quality prints if printing elsewhere. I can also provide a USB or CD to be sent to you as well.
Do you retouch photos?
I do retouch and edit all my images, I don't remove moles or scars or anything that is there without your permission first. I do usually remove blemishes is needed with your permission first. to do it to all images may take extra time which could cost an additional fee for weddings or small events. everything else needs to be discussed with me first to make an agreement and discuss any additional fees that it may cover.
Whats your turn around time?
It will greatly depend on the amount of hours I was booked for the event, and how many images where taken in that time frame. I can finish a wedding in a slower part of the season in 3 to 4 weeks, in the busy season ( July, August, October) I would say it could take up to 3 months as I can get a bit busy with my own family and busy with weddings most weekends during the busy times.

Can you help us with planning?
I absolutely can help with planning. I can give suggestions for locations in my area ( Inverness County) outside of that I maybe able to help find some good spots but cannot promise if I am unfamiliar with the area. Although I am very good on the spot if you have some ideal locations in mind, you can send me pictures of the locations. I often try more ideas in the moment as well, those are some of the moments that work really well. I also help with some posing to help make it look as natural as possible. I am all about safety as well, everyone's safety is my top priority. While still trying many different angles and ideas to capture those beautiful memories.
How far out do you book?
It depends on the time of year and how many hours you are wanting to book. Most weddings are booked 6 months to a year in advanced I recommend as soon as possible for August and October as they seem to be very busy and are often booked first.
What should we do for an engagement session?
If you book a full day wedding with me I also include a free engagement session with your package. For smaller day bookings, I offer an engagement session any time before the wedding day. I help you with location ideas. Also the time of day depending on what kind of photos you are looking for. If outdoors, most are outdoors but we can do lifestyle indoors as well. Outdoor photos tip, I avoid shooting during high noon time ( 11 am and 2 or 3 pm) as the harsh shadows it creates is not flattering and cannot be be fixed in post processing/ editing for best lighting times i recommend as close to sunset as possible for a beautiful glow of sunset colors, Earlier in the morning or later afternoon works great as well if you want a good bright blue sky. I help with all the extra details or questions you might have as well.
What should we wear?
Neutral colors, really anything that is not going to reflect that particular color on to your skin. bright colors and florescent will really show any colors on your face and that is impossible to fix in editing, so avoiding big bright colors is highly recommended, other than that, what you feel most comfortable in is best, you can make your session more dressed up or more casual. That is the fun part it is your photoshoot and its customized for you. If you book a full session that is at least an hour, you can also do a outfit change if you want, and if permitted with the location of the session. A outfit change does need to be discussed with me first to insure there is a place to change, as well as enough time in the session to step away to get changed. Same for multiple locations, that must also be discussed with me as well to make sure there is enough time for that incase I have a booking after and cannot stay any later or have other arrangement or plans, I welcome any ideas. As long as its been mentioned about possibly adding on additional time and locations, and outfit changes I will make sure to allow for those possibilities as well.
